Fly-by-Night Dance Theater announces this year's festival—presenting Aerial Dance as Concert Dance in works that push the boundaries of both. The performance will include dances with silks, lyra, straps, bungee cords, trapeze, corde lisse. The evening will be hosted by Akim Funk Buddha, the critically acclaimed performance artist who draws upon a full spectrum of cultural traditions and disciplines. The show will feature variations on his Beat Box Opera.

The NYC Aerial Dance Festival is made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Additional support is from the Frances Alexander Family Fund.
